Cloud Systems Engineer

Job Description: The Cloud Systems Engineer in Infrastructure and Operations at Bose is a talented IT systems engineer with expertise in building enterprise-grade cloud solutions. This person can build tools, services, and automation capabilities which reduce manual operations and assure a highly resilient, secure, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructure. This role will be primarily responsible for leading Bose IT to the next level of cloud platform maturity as we finish migrating out of our on-premise data centers. Along with a desire to create a high level of cloud maturity, they should be able to lead us into a future of containers, serverless, and other capabilities that could be game-changing for enterprise IT. A secondary responsibility is to act as a consultant for cloud best practices, support, and engineering as other business units at Bose move their operations into cloud platforms. This requires high levels of communication, a bias for action, and an ability to quickly spin out innovative solutions in support of our Bose businesses. This person has experience with moving from on premise to public cloud data centers in the past. They will be expected to design, build and extend current PaaS and IaaS environments that support Bose IT infrastructure. They should have software development skills, a desire to automate everything, document everything, and run what they build. It requires a strong background in Linux system administration, a proven competency in at least one major programming language (i.e. Python or Ruby), and a deep understanding of AWS services. They can build automation based on API's and are a heavy user of configuration management tools (Chef). Fundamental requirements: Proven experience moving an on-premise data center to AWS Proven experience in at least one programming language to deliver infrastructure automation Expertise with implementing and managing Linux systems Experience with configuration management tools (preferred Chef) Knowledge of multiple information technology domains including networks Excellent collaboration, communication, and influence skills to build infrastructure automation as an everyday practice Creates and documents simple designs that can be picked up by others Experience running what you build Ability to be part of an on-call rotation Education and Experience: 2-3 years' experience designing and implementing a data center architecture in AWS 2-3 years' experience managing workloads consistently through Chef or similar 2-3 years' experience with Amazon Web Services Preferred: advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline Expected: AWS Certification Preferred: AWS Developer Certification Preferred: Experience working with an Agile Framework Preferred: Exhibit use of lean problem solving techniques Specific Challenges you will tackle:  Enable the highest levels of resiliency and cost effectiveness with our significant enterprise applications (SAP, Windchill) to AWS  Work as part of a team to audit the current AWS platform for our Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations finalizing the build out of our Cloud Data Center Mature resiliency capabilities in AWS through monitoring and alerting, automation, desired state configuration, and config rules Develop tooling for deploying cost and security automation into CIS accounts - make it extensible to all Bose accounts Implement framework, policy, and automation for right-sizing AWS instances, database license management, storage retention and lifecycle management automation Deliver Create standard infrastructure best practices (i.e. for security, logging, and resiliency) that can be automatically deployed across accounts Develop better scheduling for up-time, downtime, and resizing of servers Deploy an existing app landscape as a containerized application R10350

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
